McCartney's Ultimate 2009 Concert Video
I own Rockshow, Get Back and other mass produced videos of Paul McCartney concerts through the years, as a point of reference. This remarkably well done production was obviously undertaken by a TV production company with great care. Long shots, on stage shots, great sound, fan footage and a great setlist are all here. The quality of the production indicates it was all done on video, not film. The digital format, the editing and camera shots and angles reflect great professional skill and concern for the finished product. The concert was at Halifax Commons, Nova Scotia, a provincial park dating back to the 18 century and attended by over 50,000. While footage is available on YouTube, the quality of sound on the DVD, the ability to actually own a copy and crank it up to "LIVE" level is worth far more than the price. This production exceeds that of the Charlotte, NC ABC recording in content and production values and I believe is a must have for anyone attending this era of McCartney concerts, and certainly for those who didn't.
