The Genial Mr Lynne
Jeff Lynne is a great writer of high quality catchy rock songs, always performed 'live' to an excellent standard by the man himself and his superb backing musicians. Most of the classic ELO standards are here, with a couple of Jeff's more recent songs. JL always seems so very self-effacing, and such a nice guy. I hope he is as genuine as he comes across on stage. When he puts the enthusiastic audience at ease with comments like 'You're great you lot!' and 'It's fantastic to play here for you guys' he always sounds like he really means it. Great concert with a lot of top songs packed into the hour. If you want a longer set try the Live At Hyde Park video.
